Through this past year, VMC has worked alongside its public sector clients – local government and school district offices to navigate the new level of transportation challenges faced by the schools due to the Pandemic. The amount of paperwork, data, and reporting has exploded and has create a bottleneck that threatens reimbursements at both the state and federal levels. These reimbursements are dependent upon accurate reviews of transporter invoices.
To respond to this challenge, VMC has created an integrated service that utilizes its proprietary software. The new service is called TATIRRICS– Transportation Attendance Tracking Indices Reimbursement Reports and Integrated Cost Service. The TATIRRICS software is able to track the passenger from the identification as a child with special needs, through to the bus roster, the route, then to the driver vehicle attendance log and ultimately into the cost per passenger cost calculation and performance reports. The transporter invoice is then automatically generated before the transporter submits its invoice. The final step is the automatic bridge that sends the data into a particular reimbursement system.
VMC utilizes its TATIRRICS software to provide a monthly service to its clients.
This highly sensitive population requires a degree of attention that is often difficult to manage without assistance from experts. VMC has developed products, systems, and protocols around this population that help local governing bodies optimize their transport which is ever-more-challenging given the current climate. The impact of Covid has further exacerbated the existing challenges such as the lack of qualified transporters and drivers. VMC has answered this challenge through use of its proven operations research-based methods, technology, and customer service to leverage the best solutions for its clients. VMC’s service overview and Case Studies will be presented in its booth throughout the PASBO Conference.
